Golem

What is Golem?

Golem is a decentralized marketplace for computing power. It allows CPUs and GPUs to be interconnected in a peer-to-peer network, so that both application owners and individual users (“applicants”) can rent resources from other users’ machines (“providers”). These resources can be used to perform tasks that require any amount of computing time and capacity. Today, centralized cloud providers have control over these services, these platforms are constrained by closed networks, proprietary payment systems and hard-coded provisioning operations. Golem proposes an open source, decentralized, user-driven alternative.
