What is Dash?
Dash (DASH) is the coin that runs on Dash Blockchain, enabling instant, secure and private transactions. Based on Bitcoin’s core code, Dash enabled self-financing and self-managing models that enable businesses or individuals to send or receive value instantly. Dash uses the chained hashing algorithm for proof of work, resulting in instant transactions, a major problem for Bitcoin in sales scenarios. Dash blockchain relies on master nodes and is an open source crypto currency. The minimum amount of Dash required to run a master node is 1000 Dash. For data retention and network operation, the master nodes receive an incentive by receiving 45% of the Dash that is removed. Dash was originally proposed and developed by Evan Duffield, and later led by Ryan Taylor, current CEO of Dash. The Dash team consists of 73 members, including managers, developers, operations controllers, marketing experts and business development managers.
